Education is not a certificate of intelligence but…..

Job Or Education Directions On A SignpostEDUCATION.

Being educated or having a PHD is not a certificate of intelligence or common sense but it helps to have some because education is certainly a treatment or cure for certain types of arrogance and ignorance which breeds ineptitude. Do you agree?

On this note, I think that our lawmakers must review the statutory academic requirement for holders of public office in Nigeria.

I hear that there are some legislators who have never introduced a single bill in our hallow chambers or contributed to debates because they are stark illiterates. They cannot communicate in English and sometimes need people to explain house proceedings to them. (I do not want to believe this)

If this is true then one wonders how they represent their constituencies and what the future holds for our constitution if the law makers cannot read and understand what they have said or made law for us.

Did they understand that it is now illegal to be gay in Nigeria? Lord in your hands I commit Nigerian type of democracy.

Ada Ideh, you make me laugh…..You think all the representatives in the Upper and Lower chambers understand what goes on there. ….Some are what an Awka man would call, “Solu ma shi rie nne”….
In one the State house of Assembly in one of the Northern States…A member was said to be confused as to why his colleagues will stand up and say, “I move a motion for so so and so….He stood up, sought for permission and it was granted him, he now spoke in Hausa thus, ” I do not understand why every body is moving this “Motion”….Cant we leave this “Motion” to stay in one place…..Why must everybody try to move it….Will it not be tired because of this constant movement….Am afraid, if you continue to move the “Motion”….I will have no option other than to take it home for it to go and eat and rest….
Most of the people with this kind of mentality are the ones you see at the Upper and Lover Chambers because they graduate from the States to Federal Level….It is no joke, some of them came there because of their loyalty to one big oga whose interest they protect at the grassroots.
