WHAT ARE THE OFFICIAL CORRESPONDENCE ADDRESSES OF THE PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA, STATE GOVERNORS, SENATORS, HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVE MEMBERS, MINISTERS, COUNCILLORS ETC?
I have so many things to say to them but have no way of getting my words and ideas across.
In the UK if I wake up and hate the face of the Prime Minister, my MP and Councillor or feel aggrieved about anything, I can fire off a letter to Downing Street or House of Parliament. Although they may think that this mad African woman’s madness may be worsening, they will still courteously respond and nicely direct me to the right person to deal with my anger and frustration over things that will mean practically nothing to Nigerian leaders and citizens.
This is because they respect me as a citizen and know that I have the right to ask questions. They do not get angry and plot to catch and incarcerate me for daring to ask questions or complain about their poor behaviours, unacceptable greed and laxity.
When is the Nigerian voter ever going to be respected and given access to the people who claim to represent them? Are these people representing us or themselves.
I seriously desire to agitate the minds, souls, consciousnesses and sense of right of my people in Nigeria. We can do it but we need to learn to speak with one voice, love and respect one another with no care about tribe, religion or gender. That way we will reach the promised land.
